Ronald Frederick received his B.A. from Miami University and J.D. from the University of Akron School of Law. Mr. Frederick developed his passion for consumer advocacy early in his career, while working as a law clerk for Nurenburg, Plevin, Heller & McCarthy Co., L.P.A.
Our Experienced Team of Attorneys
Attorney Ronald I. Frederick received his B.A. from Miami University and J.D. from the University of Akron School of Law. Mr. Frederick developed his passion for consumer advocacy early in his career while working as a law clerk for Nurenburg, Plevin, Heller & McCarthy Co., L.P.A.. Mr. Frederick gravitated immediately to cases affecting consumers and, in 1997, launched his own practice.
Mr. Frederick views consumer advocacy not merely as a profession but as a calling and assembled a team of talented, like-minded attorneys who share his passion for social justice. Mr. Frederick has distinguished himself as a foremost expert in these areas and is frequently requested to lecture at seminars and conferences in Ohio and across the country. Mr. Frederick has developed extensive experience in handling class action suits and all types of consumer fraud issues, repossession cases, automobile fraud and lemon law issues among many others.
Attorney Michael L. Berler has worked alongside Mr. Frederick for nearly eight years, and in that time has served as class co-counsel in several dozen cases. Mr. Berler has been integrally involved in most of the large cases litigated by the firm and has handled everything from the drafting of class complaints to the writing of Appeals briefs. His knowledge of consumer law, although not as vast as Mr. Frederick’s, makes him an extremely competent consumer lawyer in his own right.
Prior to working for Mr. Frederick and becoming his partner, Mr. Berler worked pro bono for the Legal Aid Society of Cleveland handling dozens of foreclosure mediations. Mr. Berler had the most extensive mediation case load and winning record in the department. In fact, he was asked by the head of the foreclosure mediation department to conduct a training seminar for other attorneys to teach them his methodology.
Attorney Michael L. Fine is a service-oriented professional, educator, and advisor.
Originally from Los Angeles, California, Michael received his Juris Doctor, summa cum laude, from Southwestern University School of Law. He is admitted to practice in Ohio and California and before a number of federal courts.
While in law school, Michael worked as a Court Appointed Special Advocate for the Los Angeles County Dependency Court, advocating on behalf of abused and neglected children. He was subsequently appointed as a panel attorney for the Dependency Court, and he represented clients in private practice. Later, Michael spent several years in Israel and practiced law as a foreign associate with Goldfarb, Levy, Eran & Company, representing clients in investment and intellectual property transactions.
Michael has lived and worked in Cleveland, Ohio, for the past 11 years.
Attorney Jacquelyn S. Frederick began her career in government/public service, working for the Governor’s Office of Arizona, first as a Media Specialist then as Director of Constituent Services Department where she served the public addressing their concerns and questions.
After obtaining her JD and MBA from Arizona State University, Ms. Frederick worked in the insurance industry handling auto arbitration and subrogation claims for Farmers Insurance Company in Arizona.
In Ohio, she worked at Progressive Insurance. Ms. Frederick shares Mr. Frederick’s love for helping people who have been taking advantage of and who feel nobody is out there to protect them. For her, the Best part of the job is talking to clients, going over the facts of their cases, hearing their stories.
Ms. Frederick’s favorite role is as a mom to her son, Zach and Labrador mix, Shadow.
